Connect, Learn, Heal: Mental Health Awareness Events at POMNJ

Every May, Mental Health Awareness Month serves as a nationwide reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health—and that no one should face life’s challenges alone. At Peace of Mind Counseling, Yoga & Wellness Center (POMNJ), we’re committed to breaking down stigma, fostering supportive connections, and empowering our community with tools for emotional well-being.

This month, we’re offering a full calendar of events designed to help individuals recognize the signs of stress and burnout, find safe spaces for sharing and healing, and learn how to support both themselves and others with care. Whether you’re new to the conversation or deep into your wellness journey, there’s something here for you.

Why Mental Health Awareness Month Matters

Mental Health Awareness Month was established to increase public understanding of mental health, advocate for access to care, and build compassionate communities. It’s a time to reflect, learn, and take action, to recognize how mental health impacts every aspect of our lives and how we can show up for ourselves and others.

At POMNJ, we believe healing happens in community. Through our unique blend of counseling, yoga, and peer-led support groups, we help individuals reconnect with their inner strength, find validation in shared experiences, and explore what wellness looks like in everyday life.
